Saturday, April 12, 2008 marked the date for a large celebration of Jack V. Franck's 90th birthday. Jack's actual birthday is April 14 but all agreed that celebrating the event two days early was just fine. The weather cooperated perfectly for the party set in Darlene & Jack's home on Bliss Court in Walnut Creek. Dorathea and George Schneider flew in from Hawaii as promised. Over 75 people attended from the extended Franck and Schneider families. Additionally, old friends and neighbors were there in celebration. All of Jack's grandchildren were in attendance except for Dea Franck who had to stay in Washington DC. For the first time in years all of Russ and Jayne's six children got together in one location. Relatives came from all over the western United States stretching from San Diego and Bieber in California all the way to Colorado.
